1. OVERVIEW

This Payment Policy governs all financial transactions on the SystemsArchitect.io Platform ("Platform," "we," "us," or "our"). By purchasing a subscription or making any payment, you ("User," "you," or "your") agree to this Payment Policy and our Terms and Conditions.

BETA TESTING NOTICE: During the beta testing period, pricing, subscription features, refund policies, and payment terms may change with or without notice. Continued use of paid services constitutes acceptance of any changes/updates.

About SystemsArchitect.io app

Any discussion about Cloud services on AWS, GCP, Azure and other cloud companies relates to services offered by those respective businesses directly. SystemsArchitect.io only provide guides, quizes, best practices, other tools and commentary services to help understand those company's underlying cloud services. In order to use those companies' services you must pay them separately -- and that is not included in our service or as part of your payment.

2.2 Beta Testing Pricing

During beta testing:

a) All prices are subject to change without notice b) Features may be added or removed from any tier c) New tiers may be introduced d) Existing tiers may be discontinued e) Usage limits may be modified at any time

Current subscribers will be notified of price changes, which will take effect at the next billing cycle.


3. PAYMENT PROCESSING

3.1 Payment Methods

We accept the following payment methods:

a) Credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover) b) Debit cards c) Other methods as supported by our payment processor

3.2 Payment Processor

Payments are processed through Stripe, a third-party payment processor. By making a payment:

a) You agree to Stripe's Terms of Service b) You authorize us to charge your payment method c) You understand we do not store your payment information d) You consent to recurring charges for subscription plans

3.3 Currency

All prices are in United States Dollars (USD). Currency conversion fees may apply depending on your payment method and location.

3.4 Tax

Prices do not include applicable taxes, VAT, or other governmental fees. You are responsible for:

a) Any sales tax, VAT, or similar taxes required by your jurisdiction b) Providing accurate tax information c) Understanding your local tax obligations

We will collect and remit taxes as required by law in applicable jurisdictions.


4. BILLING AND RENEWALS

4.1 Recurring Subscriptions

Pro Monthly (recurrent subscription)

  • Billed monthly on the anniversary of your subscription start date
  • Auto-renews each month until cancelled
  • Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period
  • Cancellation deadline: Cancel before the first day of the upcoming month to avoid charges for that month

Pro Annual (recurrent subscription)

  • Billed annually on the anniversary of your subscription start date
  • Auto-renews each year until cancelled
  • Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current annual period
  • 30-day money-back guarantee applies (see Section 4.2)

Visionary Circle (one-time purchase)

  • One-time payment, no recurring charges
  • 5-year access from purchase date
  • No auto-renewal
  • 30-day money-back guarantee applies (see Section 4.2)

4.2 Refund Policy

30-Day Money-Back Guarantee

Applies to: Pro Annual and Visionary Circle subscriptions

Within 30 days of your initial purchase:

a) You may request a full refund for any reason b) Submit refund request via Platform feedback or email c) Refunds processed within 5-10 business days d) Access to paid features terminates upon refund e) Account reverts to Free Tier after refund

Conditions:

  • One refund per customer per subscription type
  • Must be requested within 30 calendar days of purchase
  • Applies only to initial purchase, not renewals
  • Does not apply to promotional or discounted subscriptions (if different terms stated)

Pro Monthly Cancellation

Pro Monthly subscriptions do NOT include a money-back guarantee. However:

a) Cancel anytime before the first day of the next month b) No charges for subsequent months after cancellation c) Access continues through the end of the current paid month d) No pro-rated refunds for partial months

Beta Testing Refunds

During beta testing:

a) We may issue discretionary refunds for service issues b) Major outages or feature removals may qualify for partial refunds c) Refund decisions are made on a case-by-case basis d) We are not obligated to provide refunds beyond the 30-day guarantee

Non-Refundable Situations

Refunds will NOT be provided for:

a) Free Tier (no payment made) b) Renewal charges for Pro Monthly (cancel before next billing cycle) c) Renewal charges for Pro Annual or Visionary Circle after 30-day window d) Violations of Terms and Conditions resulting in account termination e) Chargebacks or disputed charges (account suspension may result) f) Change of mind after 30-day guarantee period g) Dissatisfaction with beta features or changes

4.3 Payment Failures

If a payment fails:

a) We will attempt to charge your payment method multiple times b) You will receive email notifications of failed payments c) Your account may be downgraded to Free Tier after multiple failures d) You are responsible for updating payment information e) Late fees do not apply, but service may be interrupted

4.4 Price Changes

We reserve the right to change subscription prices at any time. For active subscriptions:

a) Current subscribers receive 30 days notice of price increases (when feasible) b) New price applies at next renewal cycle c) You may cancel before renewal to avoid increased price d) Beta testing may result in immediate price changes


5. SUBSCRIPTION MANAGEMENT

5.1 Upgrades

You may upgrade your subscription at any time:

Free → Pro Monthly

  • Charge applied immediately for first month
  • Access to Pro features granted immediately
  • Subsequent charges on monthly anniversary

Free → Pro Annual

  • Full annual charge applied immediately
  • Access to Pro features granted immediately
  • 30-day money-back guarantee applies

Free → Visionary Circle

  • One-time charge applied immediately
  • Access to Visionary features granted immediately
  • 30-day money-back guarantee applies

Pro Monthly → Pro Annual

  • Pro-rated credit for remaining month (if applicable)
  • Annual charge minus credit applied immediately
  • 30-day money-back guarantee applies to upgrade

Pro Monthly → Visionary Circle

  • Separate purchase, no credit for monthly subscription
  • Visionary Circle access begins immediately
  • Pro Monthly subscription should be cancelled separately

Pro Annual → Visionary Circle

  • Separate purchase, no credit for annual subscription
  • Visionary Circle access begins immediately
  • Pro Annual subscription continues unless cancelled

5.2 Downgrades

You may downgrade your subscription with the following effects:

Pro Monthly → Free Tier

  • Cancellation takes effect at end of current billing period
  • Access to paid features continues through paid period
  • No refund for partial month

Pro Annual → Free Tier

  • Cancellation takes effect at end of current annual period
  • Access to paid features continues through paid period
  • No refund for remaining months (unless within 30-day guarantee)

Visionary Circle → Free Tier

  • Not applicable (one-time purchase, 5-year access)
  • Access continues for full 5 years
  • No refund after 30-day guarantee period

5.3 Cancellation Process

To cancel your subscription:

  1. Log into your account
  2. Navigate to account settings or billing page
  3. Select "Cancel Subscription" option
  4. OR contact support via Platform feedback or email
  5. Confirmation email will be sent

Important Cancellation Notes:

  • Pro Monthly: Cancel before the 1st of the month to avoid next month's charge
  • Pro Annual: Cancel anytime, access continues through paid annual period
  • Visionary Circle: Cannot cancel (one-time purchase for 5-year access)
  • Refunds only available within 30-day guarantee period (Pro Annual, Visionary Circle)

6. BETA TESTING PAYMENT TERMS

6.1 Best Efforts Service

During beta testing, all services are provided on a BEST EFFORTS BASIS. We do NOT guarantee:

a) Feature availability for paid tiers b) Specific performance or uptime levels c) Continuous access to any particular feature d) That paid features remain exclusive to paid tiers e) Service quality or AI content accuracy

6.2 Feature Changes

We may, without notice or liability:

a) Remove features from any subscription tier b) Reduce AI query limits or tool usage caps c) Modify or discontinue enhanced tools d) Change access to code tabs or implementation guides e) Alter the structure or organization of content

Significant feature removals affecting paid subscribers may result in discretionary partial refunds or account credits at our sole discretion.

6.3 Service Interruptions

During beta testing:

a) Service outages may occur without warning b) Scheduled maintenance may impact availability c) Database resets or migrations may cause temporary data loss d) AI services may be unavailable or rate-limited

We will make reasonable efforts to notify users of planned maintenance, but are not obligated to do so during beta.

6.4 No Compensation for Changes

You agree that:

a) We are not liable for any financial losses due to feature changes b) Subscription fees are not refundable for feature removals (except within guarantee period) c) You accept the risk of beta testing participation d) Credits or extensions may be offered at our discretion but are not guaranteed


7. USAGE LIMITS AND OVERAGES

These are projected daily usage limits during beta testing. Limits may change without notice due to beta testing factors.

Circumventing Service Limits (e.g., multiple accounts, multiple users per account, automated tools) is prohibited and may result in account suspension without refund and additional costs or penalties. Please use the Platform within the established and agreed limits in this policy and terms. We reserve to the right to take additional security measures to enforce these limits including IP blocking, account suspension, legal action and other measures to report abuse to law enforcemnt and technical support for security if necessary.

7.1 AI Query Limits

Daily AI query limits by tier:

  • Free: 25/day
  • Pro Monthly: 50/day
  • Pro Annual: 50/day
  • Visionary Circle: 100/day

7.2 Enhanced Tool Limits

Daily enhanced tool limits by tier:

  • Free: 5/day per tool
  • Pro Monthly: 25/day per tool
  • Pro Annual: 25/day per tool
  • Visionary Circle: 50/day per tool

7.3 Limit Enforcement

a) Limits reset daily at midnight UTC b) Cached content does not count toward limits c) Exceeding limits results in request denial, not additional charges d) We reserve the right to throttle or restrict excessive usage e) Abuse may result in account suspension without refund

7.4 No Overage Charges

We do NOT charge overage fees. Once you reach your daily limit:

a) Additional requests are denied until reset b) You may upgrade to a higher tier for increased limits c) Cached content remains accessible


8. PROMOTIONS AND DISCOUNTS

8.1 Promotional Offers

We may offer promotional pricing, discounts, or special offers at our discretion:

a) Promotions may have separate terms and conditions b) Promotional pricing may not be combined with other offers c) Promotions may expire without notice d) Promotional subscriptions may have different refund policies

8.2 Referral Programs

If we implement referral or affiliate programs:

a) Separate terms will govern such programs b) Credits or discounts may be awarded c) We reserve the right to modify or terminate programs


9. ACCOUNT SUSPENSION AND TERMINATION

9.1 Non-Payment

If payment fails and is not resolved:

a) Account downgraded to Free Tier after grace period b) Access to paid features immediately suspended c) Saved data and projects remain accessible (Free Tier limits apply) d) No refund for unused portion of subscription

9.2 Violations

If your account is terminated for Terms violations:

a) No refund for current subscription period b) Immediate loss of access to all features c) Potential deletion of User Content d) Permanent ban from Platform (at our discretion)


10. DISPUTE RESOLUTION

10.1 Billing Disputes

If you believe you were charged incorrectly:

  1. Contact support within 30 days of charge
  2. Provide transaction details and explanation
  3. We will investigate and respond within 10 business days
  4. Resolution may include refund, credit, or explanation

10.2 Chargebacks

Important: Initiating a chargeback may result in:

a) Immediate account suspension b) Loss of access to Platform c) Deletion of User Content d) Permanent ban from Platform

Please contact support FIRST to resolve billing issues before initiating chargebacks.

10.3 Arbitration

Payment disputes are subject to the arbitration agreement in our Terms and Conditions.


11. DATA AND EXPORT

11.1 Data Access During Subscription

While subscribed to a paid tier:

a) Access to all saved data and projects b) Export features (when available) for Pro tiers c) Full usage history and analytics

11.2 Data Access After Cancellation

After downgrading to Free Tier:

a) Saved projects and points remain accessible (subject to Free Tier limits) b) Historical AI content may remain accessible in cache c) Profile and account data retained d) Export features may be restricted to paid tiers

11.3 Account Deletion

If you delete your account:

a) All User Content may be permanently deleted b) No refund for unused subscription period c) Data recovery may not be possible d) Deletion is subject to Privacy Policy terms


12. MODIFICATIONS TO PAYMENT POLICY

We may modify this Payment Policy at any time. Changes will be effective:

a) Immediately upon posting for new transactions b) At next renewal for existing subscriptions (when feasible) c) As stated in update notification

Material changes will be communicated via:

  • Email to registered users
  • Site-wide banner notifications
  • Updated "Last Updated" date on this policy

Your continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

This Payment Policy is governed by the same laws as our Terms and Conditions.

14.2 Severability

If any provision is found invalid, the remaining provisions remain in effect.

14.3 Entire Agreement

This Payment Policy, together with Terms and Conditions and Privacy Policy, constitutes the entire agreement regarding payments.
